Wonderful things happen with your help and donations.

Currently, there is limited medical education and research surrounding pediatric feeding issues. As a result, many medical professionals lack the expertise or resources necessary to evaluate and treat these children most effectively. Parents need a comprehensive team of medical professionals who will collaborate to maximize their child’s eating potential and provide support for their family as a whole.

Did you know?

  • For some infants and children, feeding is a painful experience.
  • The smell, taste, texture, and even presence of food may cause anxiety and food refusal. Often, this is expressed through head-turning, gagging, choking, coughing or vomiting.
  • Some children will actually starve themselves to avoid the pain they experience while eating.
  • Research shows 25 – 45% of typically developing children will suffer from a feeding issue. The number increases to 33 – 80% in children with developmental disabilities. (Arvedson, 2008; Lefton‐Greif, 2008; Williams, Witherspoon, Kavsac, Patterson, & McBlain, 2006).

Every gift helps us carry out our mission to support and educate families and the medical community to give children with feeding disturbances the best quality of life. We couldn’t do it without your support.
